It is time to get signed up for one of our Winter Fly Tying Classes in the months of January, February and March! Everything needed is provided with the registration fee. Pre-registrations is required due to limited availability per Fly Tying Classes.
What do you learn in the Fly Tying Classes?
Your class will start with a detailed explanation of the History of Fly Tying, the tools, and the materials used to tie flies. Our instructors guide you through, step by step, to tie 3 different styles of flies. The Wooly Bugger streamer, Yellow Palmer Dry Fly, and the Hare’s Ear nymph will be taught in the beginner’s Fly Tying Classes.
How much does it cost?
The $50 per participant cost covers everything needed for the class. All Tools, materials, and instruction are included in the price of the class. All you have to do is show up and get ready to learn something new. After that, the rest will be supplied by us. If you sign up 3 participants, the 4th is free.

For the serious tyers interested in a more advanced class, reach out to us at [email protected] and we can customize a personal class just for you and also tell you about out Local Fly Tying night called Bobbins and Beer!. For the beginner or those who haven’t done it in a while, this IS the class for you.

1. Stop by the shop register and afterwards grab a beer from Eluvium Brewing or Leveler Brewing. 2. Call us at 828-645-8700 and we can sign you up over the phone but no beer. 3. Email us at [email protected] and we will reach out to you, to that end, again no beer.
